No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus

If my heart could tell a story….

The first time I heard this song (“No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus”} I wept. It articulated my heart and the way I feel about Jesus. It has become a prayer for me and an expression of my heart towards Jesus.

My life can be summed up in this. As I look at my life both present and in the past, I see Him. I see His love, His presence, His faithful hand leading and guiding, His abiding peace in the midst of all the storms. I have experienced His salvation, forgiveness, His mercy, His grace, I have known His presence and faithfulness all of my life. He saved me from a life without Him. Its the realization that I have never been alone. He is my firm foundation, the anchor of my soul, the one who keeps me, the one who never leaves me. From the day I decided to follow Jesus, I have seen His hand and experienced His love, He has kept me through every struggle and every storm and every victory, He has been there.

I remember that day, I was 4 – 5 years old, sitting in our small living room, in our single wide mobile home, in Klamath Falls, both my parents were there. In that moment I decided to follow Him. I remember that the next thing I did was call my Grandma Hukill to tell her what I had done.

From that day forward, I have never turned back. He has been an abiding presence through every season of my life, through the good and the bad, through the expected and unexpected, through the victories and the failures, through the successes and the disappointments, there has never been a time where He has not been there. Even in the moments I have had questions and have not understood the why’s of what is happening, He has been there.

This is my testimony, this is what I want to be remembered for. That my children would tell their children and it would be their story as well.

….And when I’m old and gray and all my days are numbered on the Earth, Let it be known, in You alone My joy was found!

No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus”

By Steffany Gretzinger

If my heart could tell a story

If my life would sing a song

If I have a testimony

If I have anything at all

No one ever cared for me like Jesus

His faithful hand has held me all this way

And when I’m old and gray and all my days

Are numbered on the Earth

Let it be known, in You alone

My joy was found

Oh my joy, my joy

Let my children tell their children

Let this be their memory

That all my treasure was in heaven

And You were everything to me

No one ever cared for me like Jesus

His faithful hand has held me all this way

And when I’m old and gray and all my days

Are numbered on the Earth

Let it be known, in You alone

My joy was found

I found my joy

I’m still in love

You’re still enough for me

Still all I want

You’re still my everything

I’m still in love

You’re still enough for me

Still all I want

You’re still my everything

No one ever cared for me like Jesus

His faithful hand has held me all this way

And when I’m old and gray and all my days

Are numbered on the Earth

Let it be known, in You alone

My joy was found
