Moving into a new year can often come with a lot of pressure to do certain things, to make changes, to make a list of goals and a plethora of things to be accomplished. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I spent the last of 2023 and the beginning of 2024 in St Louis with my girls and welcoming our newest grandbaby into the family. My focus was not on all that I normally focus on this time of the year. In that moment I was feeling like I should be “doing” all the things I normally do to end one year and prepare for the new one. But as I leaned into a moment with God, I heard this…Be present, be at rest in this moment. Focus on what is happening NOW. So much peace was gained. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Everything was different this year – Christmas, the New Year and in the “different” I found a way to approach a new year and to enjoy what was happening. In this different way I still heard His still small voice speaking to me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Letting go…of all have to’s, need to’s, should do, should say, should pray…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Leaning in…to You, to rest, to follow Jesus, to give, to BE, to just breath<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Breathe…Take a deep breath in His presence, rest, nothing to show nothing to prove, its not much, but here’s my heart, Father. Nothing to gain, nothing to lose, nothing to prove, just rest.
